Connect
Plug the instrument into this computer with a data-rated USB cable, then click Connect device and pick the instrument's port. The instrument restarts when the connection opens — that is normal. Test data is read from the instrument and stays entirely on this computer; nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Device not showing up in the port list?
- Cable: many USB cables are charge-only. Use a cable known to carry data (the one shipped with the instrument is).
- Driver: the instrument uses a CH340 USB-serial bridge. Windows 10/11 and current macOS usually install it automatically; if no port ever appears, install the manufacturer's CH340/CH341 driver from wch-ic.com and replug.
- Port in use: close any other serial terminal (Arduino IDE, CoolTerm, PuTTY) that may be holding the port.
- By default the picker is filtered to the instrument's USB ID. If yours enumerates differently, tick "Show all serial ports" and choose it manually.
